Not really recommending a book but more a company.
While organizing our Sydney meetup i sent an email to Scholastics letting them know who we were and what our meetup was for.
I asked would they consider donating some books so that i could give out to all the kids that came.
and they said yes and donated over 20 fantastic childrens books. cheers
The kids loved them(i forgot to take pics Sad )
So i would just like to say thanx to Scholastics and recommend them to anyone else that might be organizing something for kids.

Good on ya Robyn! We were in the Scholastic at Home bookclub for a while and got all the Dr Seuss books plus other famous classics. We love them and have re-read them over and over. So great that they were so willing to donate! Must remember that in future Wink
