Hi Riq02,

How is Tom going now? I have a very strong soft spot for premmies - I had a little girl at 23k6d (she did great until the 2 month mark and then we lost her). Also had loads of ultrasounds with Isabella too, and other than ena cho at the 19 week scan they didn't pick it up with er either.

Interesting how some of our stories end up being so similar (I also had Bella just after I turned 36).

Oops, I hould have been clearer. Tom didn't make it either. He was also born at 23w6d but in the UK (if anyone has any experience of the NHS they'll understand). The transfer to another hospital with a NICU was very hard and I made the decision to let him go. He was with me for 12 hours. In the UK at the time (could still be the same) had he been stillborn it would only have been considered a miscarriage. It is not a birth until 24 weeks!
When Wil had to go into NICU at 8 days I found it really hard to cope with all the premmies around - especially as he looked like such a boofer.
Back to birth stories (although this isn't what the thread is, is it...) Wil got to the breast but he was not interested in sucking. I just assumed that he would do it. Despite lots of perservance I had to comp feed from 8 days and ended up stopping feeding at 6 weeks. And D got to cut the cord.
