| This photo reminded me that sometimes it is good to hear what other kids like reading: If I had to think of Hannah's favourite books - it would be a long list but here are some standouts that she regularly likes to look at - the one with a DS theme is the little board book I Can Can You? Otherwise she likes this Dorothy one. Old classics like Brown Bear and Where is the Green SHeep are also fantastic choices for her - that is where her signing took off - all those animals and colours to learn . Does anyone have other books that their 2- 5 yearold loves? I'd like to know... | |

| Hi Shelley,
Isabella (3.3!) loves Brown Bear, Time for Bed, Hungry Caterpillar - there are very good reasons they have been around for years. I'll try and search out some of the others she loves (she absolutely loves books full stop).

| My two little ones love "Peepo", it was actually my 14 year old's book when he was little and he loved it too. They also love any Spot books, Cat, Where is the Green Sheep, Koala Lou and any other Mem Fox books. They are now into ABC and counting books. We have so many books, I'm addicted to buying them Love the photo...what a little doll baby with that gorgeous hair surrounded by her pink linen...too cute! | |

Yes i think they would, my kids loved that they could do a silly dance to a song in the book, you can nearly make a little play act out of it. At the moment the post office has a pack of 4 books for 9.95, in it is Wombat Stew,Blossom Possum,Sebastian lives in a hat, and One woolly wombat. All australian animal stories

| This is probably of little use - but I thought I'd mention it in case the opportunity arises again ... We took the brats to see Mem Fox read some of her books yesterday as part of the Sydney Writers Festival. It was fantastic. Hannah has some anxiety at 'events' like that but it has slowly been improving as we just keep taking her places!! (Wiggles on Thursday ) she watched the whole thing and 'went off like a frog in a sock' when Mem read Where is the Green Sheep. The whole thing was really well done - powerpoint was used, she read about 4 books and did it while telling the children about her life. The new one due out in Sept is gorgeous - Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes. We were a bit unsure as to whether the brats would get much out of it - but found that they really liked it - so should the opportunity present itself - I'd say highly recommended for all you book lovers out there! | |

| It's an awesome book Karen. You should look at Time for Bed by Mem Fox as well - it's a great bedtime book. Both those are the big faves in this house. | |

| Hey Karen, I don't even read the book to the Isabella anymore, I just go through it all off by heart as I put her in her pj's or as I'm tucking her in. I was so surprised the other day as I was 'saying it' and at the cat bit she snuggled in, at the bee phrase she did the 'I love you' sign, at the foal bit she did a 'shhh' sign and at the deer phrase she came in for a kiss. I do it in complete random order (coz I haven't bothered remembering the right order ;-)).
SO glad you liked it. I think it's a book every family should have.
Now I'm going to have to go out and buy wombat stew !

| Paige has a few Sesame Beginnings board books she loves, and one board book about animals she adores also. She points to the animals and wants me to make their sounds for her. | |
