"The doctors told me it was like having a malignant tumour and not letting them remove it," she says, and she was urged to have an abortion. "My mind went there but my heart couldn't...

| Fascinating. I've never read expecting Adam (is this one of the good books or one of the crappy ones? can't remember) but I do love the way she describes keeping him as a 'warn moment'. Love that you guys keep updating news items! Another reason why you rock (smiley is to say I think you're cool ) | |

| Di, heaps of people like her book Expecting Adam. Me i hated it, i also lent it to Cathy (Aden's mum) and she didnt like it either. If you want to read it when Cathy sends it back i'll lend it to you. I wouldnt waste my money on it. Just my worth. | |

| Interesting how it seems to be a love it or hate it book. I've only heard good reports until now. And now I know TMI about the author and it will make it hard to read I think... I've got it on the list though hehehe

| Cas the reason i hate it is that all the way through the book she refers to Adam as a "R" and a few other choice names. I noticed in the above article that once again she mentions seeing/dreaming a white light etc. all her books seem to follow the same path, everything is mystical to her i really hate her writing methods. | |

| Interesting Robyn, as I too find the R word hard to take - always have actually. So I wonder how I will go | |

| I'm with Robyn....I hated that book with a passion. Frankly she annoys the crap out of me! And it wasn't just the "R" word (although a factor)...she is so self-obsessed, it was always all about her. I find it weird that her and her husband are now both homosexual too, I've heard of one partner realising they were gay (actually know some people that have been through this) but for both to be gay. Sometimes I think that she just makes stuff up to sound all mysterious. Like I said...she annoys me Wow...passionate for me who is usually so shallow and lame to have an opionion on such things | |

This wouldnt surprise me For me it wasnt so much that she used the "R" word, ive been guilty of this in the past and unless used in a really degrading way i tend to let hearing this word fly over my head. But she didnt just use this word she actually refers to her son as "R" all the way through the book. and phrases that she used, referring to him not learning and such, i could of punched her And all the mystical stuff i felt like she was making it all up or on drugs No wonder her husband turned gay

| PMSL! I haven't read the book, but don't like the sound of it, less so now I learned she called him retarded. Horrble word! Somebody referred to Georgia as "mentally retarded" the other day They didn't mean it unkindly, once again old fashioned, probably hasn't moved on and realised that this is not a word that is used any more, so I just had to educate I just have to remark how aghast I am that someone compared her baby to a malignant tumour | |

Unfortunately, in the US, the "R" word is still accepted readily within society
