Before I do up a poll, it would be great if you could all post your advocacy slogans here so we can collate them ready for a vote. Here's mine:
"Yes! I'm extraordinary because I've got an extra ordinary chromosome." "There's something extraordinary about me (my extra ordinary chromosome)" "Ordinary + Extra = Extraordinary" "3 x 21 = 47. That's extraordinary!" "More does not equal less" "Move over, someone extraordinary is coming through!"

Another one I often use in my sigs "An extra little chromosome, that's all it is you see. Where all of you were born with 2, my Angel was blessed with 3"

I used to love My kid has more chromosomes than yours Had this pic to got with it
But then I meet this mum who’s child had one less chromosome (I cant remember the name of the syndrome) she said that we all get to brag about our children with down syndrome and how it’s extra special cause our kids have one more. I thought yes it is an people are shocked cause they have an extra…. And she said it is really hard for her to say her child does have “Less” and it got me thinking…. I don’t feel like shouting out that Aden ahs an extra now. I feel like we are all in the same position with our kids so I dont want to be suggesting that “extra is better” as a society (me a lot) we tend to think more of people that “have extra…Money, Cars, Houses… Hope I’m making some sense. Anyway this has really changed the way I fel about advocating.

I know exactly what you're saying Cathy. We want to get the message across but we don't want to be shoving it down ppl's throats! We can't be seen as 'chromosome bashing' lol. Might do up the poll soon...
